The SB20 racing is running for the 5th year and represents the largest keel boat one-design class in Malta. SB20 and other racing events are organised on a regular basis. With a busy calendar regattas are organised in different locations together with various Maltese sailing clubs visiting different areas of the island throughout the year. The clubs are Birzebbugia Sailing Club in Birzebbugia, Vikings Sailing Cub in Floriana, The Royal Malta Yacht Club in Ta’ Xbiex and Malta Young Sailors Club in St Paul’s Bay.

The Association has managed to attract both young and old from various sailing clubs to take part in the Malta based ranking series regattas. Several training events open to beginners are available thanks to various boat owners, who offer their boats for these events which help promote the sport and the class. Our most active participating teams are: Careful Now, Seriously Bonkers, Team Panda, Outlaw, Maltese Musketeer and Team Chiara.

The SB20 Association also avails of the facilities at the Royal Malta Yacht Club based in Ta’ Xbiex. Located right on the water in Ta’ Xbiex Marina the Royal Malta Yacht Club offers extraordinary facilities which include a lounge bar and dining area with outdoor terraces, roof top terrace, conference rooms, fitness rooms with changing rooms, waterfront facilities for small boats and a seasonal marina for larger boats.
