What is it like to sail SB20 in UAE?
The Dubai Offshore Sailing Club racing calendar begins with training in September then racing from October through to May. SB20 racing is centred around a season long one design series of 10 race days including 4 individual days and 3 weekends. There are a number of other options including club regatta weekends and IRC racing options including crewed and doublehanded events. The fleet is dry sailed and launched by the professional team at DOSC using the clubs own slipway. Boats are prepared and rigged on the club pontoons before making the short sail to the racecourse situated immediately outside the harbour. Reliable afternoon sea breezes and low tidal current creates very open and competitive racing.
